Courses Overview

Europe has an exceptionally rich cultural history and we will explore aspects of this culture principally through the history of art and architecture in selected locations, but also through the food, wine, music and sometimes dance of the area.

The courses will be very personal, with numbers on most courses limited to a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 18 people. The culture will come to life visually, with the 'core' courses (in Andalucia, Spain) starting in the stunning environment of a spacious luxury villa, with its gardens and swimming pool, located in Gaucin, one of the most beautiful and historic 'white villages' in the whole of the region. City-based courses will include 4 star hotel accommodation.

In Andalucia, as well as learning from the lectures on art and architecture and relaxing in the villa and garden, we will visit sites of interest in the area, including Moorish fortresses, art galleries, arab baths, wine and sherry bodegas, flamenco shows, artists studios and many more places to delight the senses, including guided visits to galleries and sites of interest in Ronda, Jerez, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga, depending on the individual course itinerary.

In addition to these 'core' courses, we also offer fascinating (and usually shorter) 'city' courses such as Madrid & Toledo, Barcelona, Tangiers, Paris, and Venice as described under 'Course Dates & Costs'.

There are a variety of itineraries on offer, including bespoke courses tailor made to clients' requests.
